Depends on the hours that you work... I have heard plenty of drivers who love it due to flexibility but the pay overall is less than 20 per hour once you factor in the cost of maintenance and gas.

anything is possible.

make sure you set aside $ for taxes as you'll be paying more than you think. You'll be self employed, not an employee.

Most Uber drivers make zero dollars per hour after standard car deductions.

If you use your own car and if it's semi newish, you can make decent money. I have a friend that does it and he does well but the miles and wear and tear on his car accelerates fast.

But you can also lease a car through uber, which will cost you up to $140-185 a week!

If you take away expenses like gas and the car payment, you will have to at least be raking in $600 or more a week to actually make a living.

It's true about taxes, the 30% rule comes into effect, save and put away for that if you do decide to go for it.

$100 a day is nothing. That's before taxes and expenses.

Uber may be a good way to pick up some extra money. It's lunacy to try to make a living doing it. Uber's whole business is predicated on losing money on each transaction and making it up in volume. They subsidize every single ride. The fares are too low, because there's too much competition and not enough of a value proposition. Uber is well-known for cutting compensation to drivers. They very literally don't care if you lose everything so long as a hundred more people sign up to drive tomorrow.

I love taking Uber around. I would never ever ever consider driving for them, even for "extra money". You'll be lucky to wind up making effectively minimum wage.
