Has anyone on City Data ever admitting to being a bad driver? It's pretty remarkable since there must be thousands and thousands of them.

I seized the opp to use that word for the first time, and as bonus, I thought you would appreciate and be amused.

Oy.....

This whole "too hot for airplanes to fly" thing was so overblown! A whopping 80--YES, 80--commuter planes couldn't fly. That's it. This qualifies as the most stupid, non-story to be printed in some time. Do planes stop flying in the Mideast where it's consistently hotter? As far as the jets were concerned, it took them longer to take off because of the extreme heat so there were some delays.

Life went on in Phoenix, as usual. Kids played baseball at night when it was a bit under 120. More a/c units are having problems, but it's getting hotter everywhere. A few years ago, I was on the freeway on the outskirts of town, and my Jeep thermometer read 125. However, decades ago, I was driving into Vegas, and it was the same thing.

The heat stinks, but if possible, people try to stay inside when it's that hot. Once the sun's gone down, and it's not beating on you, it's still hot, but much more livable. Yes, I'd rather be at the ocean, right now, but I hear that people are having trouble breathing because of the fires.

Zonies always will go to the beach. (While I live in Phoenix, I do not qualify as one of them. I've been going to Laguna and thereabouts since the mid-'70s. I also own rentals SoCal and elsewhere in CA, so I pay CA taxes.)
