In Texas for a few weeks, made sure to hit up Mission Beach with the kids last week before leaving SD.

We might hit the beach here at Mustang Island or South Padre Island while out here, the fun part of the beach in Texas is being able to drive on, tailgate on and camp over night on the beach, can't do any of those things on SD's beaches except maybe Fiesta Island, but even then that is the bay and not the ocean.

I live 2 miles from the ocean. I haven't been to the beach yet this summer. But both of our vacations so far this summer were to the beach (Cabo and Martha's Vineyard). I swim in my pool almost every day though.

A San Diego county woman (Vista) goes to San Onofre (San Diego beach) and in order to save herself from a great white during an attack, gouges out the eyes of that San Diego County shark. Also there at the San Diego beach were beach-goers from OC.

I don't, or at least I have not been. I'm a full-time desert rat! The beach is overrated anyways!

Had not spent any time at the beach lately, but it's all good. It's supposed to reach past 105°F later on today.

Yeah but the Wyndham property in Indio has an amazing lazy river. What need would there be for a beach some might say?

Or I could just take a trip to the Salton Sea or the Colorado River.
