We got about 0.2 inches here in Carmel Valley. Not a lot but it was nice and cleared the air. But it was sure cold this AM.

Yes! I cracked my bedroom window and got all snuggled up with some hot cocoa and a book and a snuggly cat. Fell asleep listening to the rain and woke up freeeeezing because the window was open. It was totally worth it!

Good for you- this is exactly how we felt. We were walking out in our canyon garden and almost crying with joy with our faces taking a welcome splash, with a real, albeit light, rain for about an hour.

We also recorded 2/10ths so anything over a 10th of an inch (kind of sad, but that’s all we can hope for much of the time) I will consider that rain. Just that sound of rain hitting the side of the house was so unusual, and wonderful.

Just saying.

Rain will come. It always does. And, there are worse things in life than a dry spell. If all you have to complain about is that it isn't raining, you life a pretty good life.

In the meantime, if you feel it is too dry, try running a humidifier in your bedroom at night. Helps give that "humid" feel so many seem to be missing.
I live in NYC. Though I hate cold weather, it's winter. It should be cold. 72 in the winter is not normal. That's weird to me and I wouldn't like that. It was 70 degrees on Christmas about 2 or 3 years ago. Everyone found it odd and people were upset about it... b/c it didn't have that winter/christmasy feel.

For me, I like a variety of weather. Rain is nice sometimes. So is snow.
