Hi!

We are looking at purchasing a home in San Diego and we are wondering what the contractor market is like. In Seattle contractors are booked out months and months in advanced and give obscene quotes like 4k to demo a small bathroom. Is it the same in San Diego? If we buy a home that needs remodeling we won't be waiting for months on end will we?

Thank you!

San Diego is very hit or miss with good Contractor. Home Depot And Lowes do have installers for bathrooms and kitchen remodels. I wouldn't trust anybody but a reputable contractor here in San Diego, To many horror stories

Make sure they are licensed bonded insured etc. Check references

Nothing wrong with setting up a binding agreement as well that includes liquidated damages if they want to drag a project out.
