Anyone get a chance to see the waves lighting up at night? I got to see it during the last event a few years ago, and it's pretty spectacular. The national news picked up on it this time.

Found this on YouTube from back in 2014

Anybody report seeing them Friday night and where? I was thinking of taking wifey to see Saturday night today, as a Mom's day thing.

I REALLY want to see this but have no idea where to look! I realize Mother Nature is the one who decides but any suggestions are appreciated... it would be great to see for Mothers Day! Thanks!

I heard on the news that Torrey Pines beach is one of the better places, because there's not as much ambient lighting from residences/businesses.

Not much mention about the waves on twitter or reddit the last couple of days. I'm guessing the red tide has moved on for now.
