So far only bluefin local so it's still a colder water event offshore. Nothing exotic so I don't see it being a really hot year. Maybe see some Albacore this year, who knows.

Yeah, I recall the ocean being much warmer at this time last year. I'm hoping things change quickly, though. Let us know when people are starting to catch marlins again.

They'll probably show along with dodo, YF and some stripey spikes but in late August which is normal.

I used to get irritating by having so many days of overcast skies, but no rain. I liked the inland valley areas better since it was mainly the coastal areas that had that marine layer in May/June.

I'm not a fan of this May Gray and June Gloom at all. Yuck. I like my Summers hot but not super hot. Mid 80's to mid 90's high temperatures.

It was pretty damn hot last week, I am glad the temps are back down with cloud coverage this weekend.

And can we talk about the sea surface temps? Almost 72 at Scripps and 71 at Oceanside works for me
