Looks like a kayak fisherman was found face down, hope you are safe.

Yeah, I heard about that. I just got back from visiting one of the kids in Bakersfield. Saw it on the fishing kayak blog (Bigwatersedge). When I was driving back down here this morning I could see the surf pounding San Onofre and Trestles. I'll wait till it dies down. Maybe next weekend.

I got back from a few days in Morro Bay on Thursday. The ocean up there is at least 10 degrees cooler than here, and the warmest it got in the daytime while I was there was cooler than it's been here any night for the last three months!

Just a heads up about stingrays with the warm weather and gentle surf this weekend. I just got tagged by one. Why it always seems to happen to me in October and November I can’t figure out. When I came in and warned some tourists I saw on boogie boards earlier apparently one of them got hit too. He had no idea what had happened. Sucks because it’s my right foot, driving home should be a real treat once it’s stops bleeding.

Guess they are moving around before they settle in for winter and colder water temps? That's odd to get tagged so late in the season, but it does happen apparently.
