Are there any ocean beaches with consistently warmer ocean water temperature?

I find North County to have the warmest water temps most of the time, usually from La Jolla north towards Oceanside. But this time of year is when the water starts to get too cold to get in and won't be warm enough until May at the earliest. Here are some sights I use to check water temps around the county:

San Diego's Ocean
National Weather Service - NWS San Diego

this is a good one that uses satellite imaging to show different water temps around the county, but it's only updated every once a week: Ocean Imaging | Satellite & Environmental Services (http://www.oceani.com/products_service/nbc739.html - broken link)

The Pacific is cold. Water temps range from the mid 50s in the winter to mid 70s in the summer.

from my experiences, most people consider water under 80 degrees to be chilly and the water never gets that warm here, so i think you are out of luck.

In California, the water is cold and the air is hot. I'd rather it be the opposite, like it is on much of the east coast, and in Japan as well I think.

I heard good things about Sea of Cortez, San Felipe in particular. Never been there myself. I believe it's a 4 to 5 hour drive one way.
