I guess they haven't made their rulebook public yet? I've seen little bits and pieces of what will likely happen, but not an actual rulebook. One thing is that it seems like there's no kicking whatsoever in the league, unless I'm missing something.

For me, it's "football", so kicking should be a big thing. I conworld a bit, and as part of that, I've tried to reimagine football, and one thing I've toyed with is if TD's were just one point, but conversions (kicked from, say, the 30) are worth nine, bringing the total to ten, and making kicking something you need to focus on mentally. And drop kicks could be tried after any down, worth, maybe, 4 points.

I'm not an NFL or NCAA fan (I follow MLS), but I'll go at least once out of curiosity.

We went to a Fleet 'meet and greet' last Thursday. We met ever player and coach except Mike Martz. The GM stood in for Mike.

As we walked the receiving line, all players wore name badges with positions. Numbers are still to be assigned. I shook hands with a 'punter' and next to him was a 'long snapper.'

So I said "I thought this was a 'no kick' league." The punter smiled and said "the rules are fluid right now."

"Where's the rules book?" I asked. The players looked at my wife and I and said "We don't even have a rule book yet."

It's going to be a long 5 home games.

It seems like I heard the first two games, including SD at SA, yielded 20,000+ attendance. I wonder what the att. for tonight's game at SDCCU is.

We just got back from the Fleet home opener game. My contacts said 45,000 attendees. I really doubt it. They only used the lower bowl for seating. And maybe 2/3 of the lower bowl was filled. Wikipedia says the entire SDCCU stadium holds 70,561 for football.

I had no idea what to expect but it was a great game. Better than this year's Super Bowl. We beat the Atlanta Legends 24-12. A little sloppy because of the heavy rains. Luckily, we sat in covered seats. Parking was $20. Food was typical NFL pricing.

The AAF has a cool smartphone realtime app. You play to guess the next play: Pass or Run with lots of added options. My wife watched the game. I played with the app. You begin as a Novice. I made it to Starter level.

This game was broadcast on NFL Network. The next game is next Sunday @ 5pm. We will be there.

It was around 20,000, and the estimated attendance was 30,000.

I was sitting in a chair in front of the visiting team's locker room, and and freezing my butt off.

It sure was cold last nite. All the rain didn't help either.

Are you working at next week's game?
