How about something mindless yet still important in our daily lives....Tacos. I know, this has been discussed adnauseum but it's been a while and we may need to refresh the database.

(and let's not turn it into an immigration/Trump/Mexico battle)

I'll go first:

I find hard to believe Tin Fish is best.
Salud! in Barrio Logan is pretty good; also really good there are their churros and ice cream.

^^I'm inclined to agree with you if you are talking straight tacos (not burritos). I could pop off 4-5 great taco shops in TJ, but for some reason I can't seem to do the same for SD even though there are some great Mexican fast food joints around town. I am going with Gordos too which BTW is not my favorite in Tijuana, but hey, they have a Las Vegas Strip location as well so they must be doing something right.

I think they catered an event I attended many years ago and they were very good.

I went to the one in Vegas (by the Circus Circus on LV Blvd). There was literally a line out the door.

I kept hearing how great this place was so a few years ago I finally decided to drive totally across town to check it out ... and ... eh. It was ok, not worth the hype, in my opinion. Maybe they were having an off day, I don't know, but its like when everyone raves about a movie and then you see it and its just eh. That's how I felt about Donut Bar as well.

I prefer Taco Stand in La Jolla:

And for fish tacos, I like PB Fish Shop:
