Hi,

We're planning a relocation from Arizona to SoCal and have decided to consider the San Diego area.

Can anyone suggest any safe and updated complexes? We're interested in areas within 10-15 minutes of La Jolla.

We like the area around Del Mar Heights Blvd - near the Cinepolis, but we're open to other areas. We would prefer to be near the 5 fwy.

Our budget is around $2500 (give or take) and we need at minimum 2 bedroom/2 bath, would love a den/office area, but not sure if that is realistic. No stairs, must have elevator if unit is on upper floors.

We don't care about schools (no kids) and we don't have pets. Must have washer and dryer in unit.

If there are any brand new apartments in areas outside of what I've described, but still relatively close, please share the names/areas. Our wish list is somewhat negotiable.

Thank you!

If you are working in the La Jolla area I would look at all of the apartments around UTC and Costa Verde. If you live in Del Mar or Carmel Valley you will have more traffic commuting each day.

Here is an example in your price range in the areas I mention above:

Check out the new apartments in Pacific Highlands Ranch (Eastern end of Del Mar Height Road). I think the 2 bedrooms start at $3,000, though

If you can wait a while, One Paseo should be open shortly:

Generally Elevators are hard to come by especially in older apartments, although some newer ones around UTC might have them.

I've only seen elevators in high rise buildings.

But there's no elevator.

I would just look for a ground unit to rent, because most complexes are older and most have stairs. Elevators are for in those states that get extreme weather. IMHO
