I’m not a casino guy either. I can think of much better uses for my money than gambling. As a side note the plexiglass industry must be making a ton of money off this.
The very move that made them jump off the fence and reopen.

We’ve had enough of the hysteria and will be heading out to Mission Trails today. Time to get on with our lives.

Provide report back when done reg crowds, parking, arsehole people.
I've been trekking over 15 miles per week over neighborhoods. A bit of the old video game ******* frog-ger to avoid people but not hard with wide less car trafficked streets, versus tight hiking trails. I say hi to masked but not unmasked passerby since the neck unmasked folks are stupid and or selfish. I've enjoyed the activity but would like to enjoy the mountains and trails again; too bad I'm not again. In S Korea as they have nice ranges but a limited good weather season there.

We walked a bit at Penasquitos Canyon last weekend. I give the crowd a D- for contagion-preventive behavior. Combination of no mask PLUS no social distancing from too many of them. We'll probably still avoid places that will tend to have crowds (Penasquitos Canyon, Miramar Lake, etc.) until there's either a treatment or a vaccine available. It's true that you're not interacting for an extended time with any other individuals, but you're still walking through a cloud of respiratory exhalations.

People seem to be under the delusion that now because many people are wearing face coverings that social distancing is no longer (as) important. Wrong, people!!! Hand-washing and social-distancing are still the primary ways to avoid contagion. Face coverings is a weak additional protection and is not to be relied upon if you really want to avoid catching this thing.

That's too bad - one point of being out there is enjoying the relative solitude and vastness. There have been many reports here of also Costco hoppin - no thank you.

These along with Iron Mountain, Mt Woodson and Mission Trails are places to stay away from if you want to social distance. There are so many lesser known trails around the County where it is easy to avoid crowds.

We took a short drive up into the hills close to us a few days ago, just to do something "normal."First car trip in 2 months. We love our backcountry, and we have traditional trips for every season. We brought our own snacks and beverages, we stayed in the car, we didn't stop anywhere, so we were still sequestering--in the car. And of course we brought the masks in case we had to make a stop. It was incredibly beautiful up there, all green, lots of poppies. But every neighborhood we went through had flags on half-staff; there were more flags on full-staff, however. Lots of flags! Does anybody know whether the half-staff is becoming a sign of grief and solidarity with people in mourning all over the nation, or is it a sign that that individual family has lost someone to the virus? I hope it isn't becoming politicized...
