Hello,

I am looking for apartments in the Pacific Beach, Mission Valley, and North Park areas. I will be moving in June and have been looking on the internet, but pictures can be somewhat misleading and they don't tell much about the area. And sometimes good places just don't make the search engines. I was just wondering if someone has lived in any of these areas and had good experiences there then if they could suggest some apartments for me to look up. I'll be visiting San Diego next weekend and would love to be able to view as many properties as possible.

I'm looking for a 1 BR (desperately been trying to find a roommate though) in the $1200/mo range. Not too much more than that.

Thanks for your help!

Your best bet is to rent a car and drive around through those areas, then you will know if it's good or a bit sketchy. In CA., the difference between nice and more run-down can be just a block or two ( or in LA, right across the street!).
Mission Valley has tons of condos/ apartments, and most are pretty nice. North Park is fun, funky, hip, with some beautiful areas, and some (close to El Cajon Blvd) more sketchy. PB, if you go North or South of Garnet Ave, you'll be off the main drag and find some nice places. Good Luck
