The one on the bay closed, but the La Mesa location was still open.

Like Moved says, the La Mesa location was still open. Lakeside dining, indoor and outdoor, nice views, dogs allowed on the patio/lakeside tables. Fun retro (old!) under-the-sea decor. No more birthday parties there, I guess...

It does, though within a block-and-a-half is a Starbucks that has been there forever and Philz and a Blue Bottle that opened in the last couple of years. Personally, I've been a CB&TL fan but have switched to Philz. And I focused my business on Philz to help them through the Covid shutdown.

Yep. Sucks for the kids. Mine loved it.
Prior to Boomers taking over, there were a couple other Family Fun Centers around. One in Vista, I think and the other definitely in Escondido. Those are long gone. The Escondido one started out at Golfland back when I was a teen. These sort of places were a big part of summer vacation. Sad to see the venues evaporate.
