Well it's official, COLDEST July in nearly a century!!!

San Diego having coldest July in nearly a century - SignOnSanDiego.com

I just wish this pattern would end already, at least it's actually sunny at the coast today though.

Yeah, 99 years to be exact! Yesterday's high at the airport was another record low high temp for the day and was 11 degrees below normal!! Awful summer so far (at the coast, that is)

I did to make it to the beach today and it wasn't that bad, despite it being only about 70. The water was so clear.

You know, it was probably 67-68 and it wasn't that bad. I was able to go in without screaming like a little girl first...lol. Once I got used to it, it was fine. Even got a little sunburned today. We've been spoiled the last few years since the water temps stayed in the low-mid 70's for much of the summer

Yeah, I was at Silver Strand for a birthday party on Saturday, and it was maybe 63 there- but it's not unusual for La Jolla and points North to be 5+ degrees warmer. It would have been fine if it was 80 degrees out.

I just did a little wading between my petanque games.
