You'll just have to wait and see what the surf conditions are for the day. If you want nice calm beaches try mission beach on the bay side.

Do you remember which beach you went to in Carlsbad? My wife and I only go to the beach in front of the Army Navy Academy. That is our favorite beach and what feels like a locals beach to us (good vibes, respect for each other’s space, friendliness). Right now the beach does not have a steep shelf so you’ll be good. Get there before 10am for lots of neighborhood parking. There are three public stairways throughout the neighborhood. One is at the Northern end on Ocean St and there are two more stairways a few hundred feet apart as you head South (they are tucked between houses). Shuffle your feet, a sting ray got me there yesterday. Good times.

Hmmm. Not impressed with Carlsbad beaches. Maybe try Hawaii.

Make sure to tell people that go to live in Arizona from California not to bring their twisted voting principals
Palo Alto is likely pretty mask distancing compliant with good low case numbers since responsible adult citizenry with respect to public health. Does that extend to East Palo A?
Arizona has a troubling recent past with the racist Sheriff Joe and Guv Jan Brewster, but hopefully they will turn it around with Senate candidate patriot astronaut military hero Scott Kelly. AZ is a covid hot zone

I asked a question. I'm not a leftie socialist but moderate centrist, conservative on many issues. Unidentified armed likely government forces taking over cities does not sound small government conservative to me, at all

I consider myself the same.

Minute Men moderate ?????

I was in Phoenix 2 years ago. REALLY weird sort of conservatism. They all looked creepy to me. A cross between a tailgate party and a southern baptist church crowd.

Biden seems pretty moderate centrist and would be more unifying than divisive trump who riles up division and hatred and failed in covid response when doing a nation vs nation comparison.
I think we are getting off topic.
Orange county beaches may have more a covid issue than SD.

Do you guys suppose we could have one or two threads that don't deteriorate into political arguments?

Thank you!

That's a great place to live, so how about sitting tight while we are in the middle of a pandemic?

Seriously. We all have to make sacrifices and that includes typical summer travel. San Diego will be around next year. Please consider how your choices affects others.
