Not the first time a big cat cruised thru O'side.

It's not that uncommon anymore.

I've seen them on the last three properties I've owned: South San Francisco (typical suburban tract home neighborhood); Sonora (semi-rural but not boonies); and here in San Pasqual Valley (semi-rural but developed). Seen a bobcat here, too.

And each time I am still mightily impressed.

I went to Sonora high. Parents had 5 acres on Longeway rd 2 miles west of Twain Harte. Beautiful country. Most of Tuolumne county is boonies.

I can confirm that Sonora - and Tuolumne County - are just as beautiful as ever. That's a big part of why we retired there.

What soured it for us was (1) Serious lack of local medical services (and it's only getting worse); (2) Influx of meth heads and other lowlifes causing an increase in petty crimes; and (3) the Covid crisis laid bare the true nature of many of the 'good citizens' who we at one time considered our friends and neighbors.

Thank goodness we had the gumption to relocate - again! - this time to Escondido. Best decision we ever made.

It probably followed the San Luis Rey River. I hope no one bothers it. I saw one at Palomar Mtn. years ago. The ranger didn't believe me, lol.

Well, that's awful. It was back near the San Luis Rey River, a young male establishing territory.

I see them a lot where I live now, they are beautiful.
