What is our county's current ICU vacancy %?
What is cut-off of this metric for indoor restaurant salon opening/closing?

No way to tell from what the State decides to let us know - San Diego is lumped in with all the other Counties comprising "Southern California"

Edit:
San Diego County's dashboard does show the total # of ICU cases (currently 1123) - the missing piece of information is the total # of ICU beds the County has; if that was known, then the vacancy% could be easily calculated.

As of yesterday,
Quote:
Officials reported 16% ICU capacity — compared to 0.5% overall in Southern California — but said that is because hospitals are postponing serious non-COVID operations such as cancer treatment and organ transplants.

Perhaps triage should include questions on dining out and wearing masks.

A rather pathetic ruling. The judge should be fired.

Meanwhile if any of you are planning on visiting a strip club do not waste your money in SD. I highly recommend you leave the SD clubs in the dust and support your local Tijuana Strip Club in Zona Norte. You get more bang for your buck.

The current ICU vacancy in SoCal including multiple counties is 0%. For SD county, idk but if it averages 0 for the region, I guess SD must be low, maybe single digits. Idk the detailed guidelines, but then seems some restrictions should be increased for the common public good, if that counts

Today all day the news says "SD county stops enforcing restaurant restrictions" and I'm just like "Were they ever enforcing anything?". Sure didn't seem like it.

Can't wait for more record covid case numbers (sarcasm).

The wife had an upcoming elective surgery just days away. She had blood and Covid tests performed per her doctor. Received a call from doctor’s office stating surgery was a go but her planned over night hospital stay cancelled. Next day another call and surgery cancelled. No idea if and when things will be rescheduled.

Did you actually read it or are you just venting? Honest question. I'm just wondering.
The court took into account expert witnesses' statements that live entertainment by masked performers in a restaurant setting, don't increase the risk of spreading covid19 given all the protocols in place. The decision also goes on to note there have been no covid cases traced back to either club which makes it hard to argue for shutting them down.

But the most damning piece of it is this: "Defendants have not submitted any evidence to refute the testimony of Shamshoian, Buonantony and Dr. Mayer. The Court infers that, based on the declaration of (Brent) Panas, the County possesses contact tracing data and has the power to produce such evidence to refute Plaintiffs' assertions {...}" In other words, they view the county as the best equipped source to offer data but they've repeatedly failed to produce any.

It also goes on (page 5) to point out Wooten's own words declaring closing indoor businesses ineffectual and even contradictory to the blueprint for a safer economy, by pushing people into private indoor spaces instead. The court even hints it would defer to the county/Wooten's opinion if they produced tangible evidence. For all that, I disagree this was a pathetic ruling. It was quite fair.
