And it's a royal PITA to cross the border, even with a Sentri pass these days. It's not all that it's chalked up to be.

Yep, and it evens out with the commute. The only time it really saves you money is if you own very little, have no vehicle, and live in one of the studios that are directly across the border. Even with a Sentri pass now, it can take over an hour to get across the border.

In a way it's good for TJ peeps that the border is so inconvenient to cross because if it weren't too many working Californians would begin to flood the area which causes rents/home prices to spike.
Just ask Texans and Idahoans.

It’s too bad TJ is such a dump. It has the same weather as SD and on coastal land. Imagine if it was run by a different country then Mexico.

Too bad the US didn't get the Baja peninsula when it bought California from Mexico in 1848 for a whopping $15M.
