Believe it or not.. some people like it 75 and up. I personally prefer 80 and up. 75 is doable but below 70 is downright annoying. But that's just me.
Have you considered Honolulu?

That's a good suggestion. For some reason hawaii sounds very disconnected from the rest of the US and the cost of living is too high. I also like to take road trips to other cities. Don't they have the strictest lockdown policy in the country? I thought they took it a bit too far.

True and unlike other states they actually crackdown. They seems to be the biggest covid police state in the country bigger than even California, Washington, or New York City.

Yeah they are over the top. I can't believe everyone going to Hawaii right now. We thought about it, but I'm not dealing with the constantly changing rules.

Basically, yes.

Yes

Yes

I was stationed in Hawaii twice in military several hundred years ago (well, seems far back anyway). Have kept some on again / off again presence. Tempted at times to move permanently. Then I come to my senses. Love / hate relationship. Not expensive for me because of (military) retirement venues and my simplistic lifestyle. But, much as I like warm / almost hot weather, it can get tiresome after a while without any cool down times. And yeah, it’s pretty limited for variety of travel.

I know of one couple who were locked up in their hotel room for two weeks because they would only accept covid negative results from certain partners. They wouldn't even allow them to go get another test. They essentially spent their entire vacation locked in their hotel room.

Hawaii used to be a desirable vacation spot.

Anything under 70 is cold. That means I can't wear flip-flops. No thanks.

While I also prefer 70s, I wear mine down to low 50s.
