Pity no death sentence by firing squad.

Too bad someone else wasn't carrying that day to administer the sentence right then and there. Now we get to pay for this waste of space to sit in prison with 3 squares a day and a cot. SMFH

Only violence can stop the violent. The church security in White Settlement, TX understood this and saved who knows how many lives. Two were lost, but the shooter was on a rampage with a much bigger plan until a bullet put him down.

Life without parole is never a good sentence. The person who committed the crime has no incentive to be a model prisoner. They will rot in prison no matter how good a prisoner they are.

Do tell. I have not seen any info showing us this. If so, why wasn't he put down? Legit questions for inquiring minds...

On edit: just found it. I stand corrected. Too bad they couldn't take him out though. Now we get to pay for it.

The cop who ultimately arrested this scumbag is also the one who climbed down into the water at Sunset Cliffs to get those two kids whose dad drove them into the ocean.

As for paying for this guy's incarceration, it's the cost of doing business with the criminal justice system. Death penalty cases are infinitely appealable and decidedly not swift justice anyway, even in the rare cases where they're ultimately carried out. This scumbag is young. Having a life sentence hanging over one's head at that age is (imo) a more suitable punishment. Yeah, it sucks we have to pay to provide him a humane living situation, but it's a slow death nonetheless.

While I agree the death penalty is sometimes appropriate and I wouldn't lose any sleep if it were the sentence in this case, a prisoner who behaves will have a more comfortable time than one who doesn't. They can't kill the bad prisoner but they can make his life more miserable.
