Should Be an interesting Game, although how did they go from Beating the PAC12 Champion Utah to this Bowl Game

Quote:
RISCO, TEXAS — San Diego State (11-2), representing the Mountain West Conference, and UTSA (12-1), representing Conference USA, will meet in the 2021 Tropical Smoothie Cafe Frisco Bowl on Tuesday, Dec. 21, at 6:30 p.m. CT at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas. The game will air on ESPN. “We are excited to have two outstanding teams participate in the 2021 Tropical Smoothie Cafe Frisco Bowl, the SDSU Aztecs and the UTSA Roadrunners” said Sean Johnson, Tropical Smoothie Cafe Frisco Bowl Executive Director. “We are looking forward to hosting this great matchup and to welcoming the teams and their passionate fan bases to Frisco, Texas for an exciting week of bowl events and a fantastic game at Toyota Stadium.”
San Diego State will be playing in its 11th bowl game over the past 12 years. The Aztecs played in the 2018 Frisco Bowl, falling to Ohio University 27-0. San Diego State head coach Brady Hoke was named Mountain West Coach of the Year, while juniors Cameron Thomas (defensive end) and Matt Araiza (punter), a finalist for the Ray Guy Award, were selected as MW Defensive and Special Teams Players of the Year, respectively.
UTSA played in the First Responders Bowl last year where they lost to Louisiana 31-24. The 12-1 and Conference USA champion Roadrunners enter the Tropical Smoothie Cafe Frisco Bowl having won 15 of their last 17 games. They are led by sophomore running back Sincere McCormick who has rushed for 1,479 yards and 15 touchdowns. Second-year UTSA head coach Jeff Traylor is a member of the Paul “Bear” Bryant Awards Coach of the Year watch list.
The Tropical Smoothie Cafe Frisco Bowl is one of 18 college football bowl games owned and operated by ESPN Events in 2021. Tickets can be purchased by going to https://thefriscobowl.com/tickets/ .

Being from San Antonio, I love to see UTSA grow and do well.
Living in San Diego and working just yards from to the new stadium, I love to see SDSU do well!
I thought my SD-SA connection with Kawhi Leonard was complete from 2011-2017, but that ended bitterly.
Not sure who I will be routing for....Frisco bowl however, never heard of it....

Yea But they were down 27 People to Covid.
Take that away and Utah St. takes a beat down.
Also to add, Utah over took SDSU in the Polls 3 Weeks ago, How does a team you beat Handily, Yea they went into overtime because of a couple of mistakes at the end let Utah tie the Game, Over jump you in the polls
The real truth is, its know way The NCAA would have a MW ranked over the PAC-12 Champion.
It's Ok Though, all those San Diego kids that were suppose to go Oregon U from Lincoln/Cathedral Catholic may end up at SDSU anyways since Oregon has no Coach

But seriously my old manager moved to SA about 5 years and she loves it! The goal was to have her and her husband show us Housing around the city the next day. I have two huge Projects that are due at work, that can't be passed off to anyone on the 12/21.

Most California transplants seem to go to Austin, DFW and to a lesser extent Houston. San Antonio is still relatively inexpensive and not over crowded for the time being compared to those cities.
