Well let’s hope you San Diegans get more warmth and sunshine from Mother Nature in June. I’m planning to visit Carlsbad the last week of June. I’ll be staying across the street from the beach, too.

That's the thing, great weather for doing yard work and misc work/exercise outside. Not great for those vacationers who want to come here and bask in the sun at the beach.

Right now we have a large team at our office from various other offices within the company from around the country for the week, they are doing their yearly team building/group work. They have been quite disappointed with the SD gloom. Ah well.

I have been doing lots of yard work and the overcast skies have been nice. However, I haven't been able to swim in our pool yet

Yard work is no fun when it's wet and muddy. Pretty much a light rain here all day. At this rate the pool won't be ready until July.

When the May gray is thick enough, cold enough to cause mid-afternoon drizzle, you can bet it's going to be a mild summer again. Last few years it seems like the season is out of sync by about a month and half. It isn't unusual for there to be some isolated rain in May but it's been way cooler than it should by now.

Enough already. Bring on the heat.

We have always told friends and family that want to visit San Diego to come in mid September to mid October. Weather is usually wonderful and not as crowded.

I don't mind the May gray and June gloom as the heat will be here soon enough and everyone will start complaining about that.

If we'd had a sunnier winter, it would have been a nice change of pace right now. But it's just more and more of the same, so it's a bit much now.

If you want sunny skies in May, move to Seattle.

Lol, no. Seattle (I grew up there until age 6, and most of my family is there) can expect rain up until the 4th of July. We have a family reunion around that time every year. I don’t go every year, but I am this year and will make sure to give weather updates
