I've lived in both sober living and normal living situations. I am moving to San Diego and can't decide which is the better of the two. Sober living means sharing a room for $125@week, move in $125., but seemingly relating every bit of life to something in this "program" which never worked for me anyway, I just stop drinking when I want to, or spending $1400. "cash out" because that's what happens/asked for in normal room mate ads and talking, acting, relating etc., like everyday people do. See the dichotomy?

That would be good if you can find 125 a week. We charge 1000 a week but we are 2 blocks from the beach in La Jolla.

I know people currently who live in a 'sober living' situation and to a man/woman they claim it is not ideal because there is no 'supervision,' and many of their fellow residents are still drinking and drugging, obviously to the detriment of those trying to remain sober. I would suggest living a 'normal living situation' if you can, and just go to meetings and other supportive activities. Best of luck to you.

Seeing as how the original poster posted this in 2008, I think it's a safe assumption that he/she has found a place to live by now.

Could be dead too. They haven't posted anything on CD since 2008. Hard to believe that's 11 years ago.
