austin_or_sd,
I was thinking..... If this is a GREAT job offer in Austin, then I would take it. If the company is great the money the benefits, then take it.
My husband after college got a job at a wonderful company in Thousand Oaks. When he started, there were less then 1,000 employess. Today there are over 8,000. He worked there for 13 years and retired quite nicely at age 40.. So if this company is great, go for it.
Best of Luck!

Hi Roma, Thank you VERy MUCH for your insight on this thread and another thread as well.

The company is Dell. I won't call it a great company now. The money is less than what I make in San Diego but more considering the cost of living. After much debate, I decided to take the offer. I have a good job and make good money in San Diego. It is ashame that I could not even afford a decent house in a good neighborhoods. I am considering to start up a family, which is a main reason to move there. This San Diego and Austin forums provide a great deal of information for me to make this decision. Thank you all!
