Is tuition relatively cheaper than Chicago universities for example? Private unis here a very expensive.. grad school courses cost about 2000-3000... I have a friend studying in a state uni here and pays the in-state fee.. which comes to about 6000-6500 per semester too...

You'll have to check university web sites. USD is private and it's quite expensive, on the order of 25k/year. UCSD in-state fees in graduate programs were 7000-8000/year a few years ago, they keep raising rates every year. Some programs like MBA may be more expensive.
