Hello,

I am interested in moving to San Diego from Detroit MI, but I don't know how the salary versus cost of living would be. I currently work in accounting / finance. How do you think the marketing job is this area? The only reason we are considering this now is because we read the housing prices are coming down and maybe we are able to afford it now, but we would like to understand better the cost of living. Also what areas of SD you recommend with a good school district and also which area would be affordable?

Any thoughts?

Lots of posts in this forum have answered your questions. Read through some of the older posts and come back with more specific questions. You might want to start with this thread that is less than a week old:

I can tell you that marketing will offer limited options and will underpay you in San Diego.
