Hi y'all! Thanks in advance.

Me and my wife are planning to move to SD from Texas. We're a young couple in our 20's and we were wondering where would be a good neighborhood to live where rent is not too expensive. we were thinking of Ocean Beach. (We've done a little research and like the rent prices in OB but we're wondering if its a good neighborhood)

Also, on a completely pointless question, how do locals pronounce La Mesa? Is it "La Meesa" or "La MAYsa"?

Thanks again!

I can't help you with the neighborhood info, but La Mesa is definitely La "MAY-sa". If you use standard Spanish pronunciation, you can't go wrong...

hey guys What kind of neighborhood do you live in in SA.? Ocean Beach is funky, gritty, fun restaurants/ bars- -you should check out North Park, Hillcrest, South Park, Little Italy & East Village downtown also. And Pacific Beach, North of Garnet Ave. These areas all have people your age . Good Luck
