My biggest gripe is the marine layer. For example, up until yesterday afternoon I had not seen the sun in three days. It was cloudy/foggy/misty and around 60 for three days straight. 59 at 12 noon, 58 at 12 midnight. But that's coastal living. I had to see some sun, so I drove to Rancho Santa fe, 5 miles inland, where it was 74 and sunny.

A few years back, we had something like 24 days straight that were cloudy.
Some people like it, but I only like it when I get to see it burn off around noon. I'm not down for the, "oh wait, is that the sun coming out?!" (at 3:30pm) kinda day.

I'm with you on this, BENZBOY15. I'd much rather have 3 days of rain, instead of 3 days of the marine layer. How do people in Seattle deal with this crap for much of the year, I ask?!? Fortunately, I live further inland and don't deal with this as much as you coastal dwellers. It is still irritating, though, when you drive towards the coast only to see it socked in with clouds.

Before the marine layer kicked in last week, it hadn't been around since last July (that's 8 months of cloud-free mornings! - except when it rains, of course). Like clockwork, it's made it's return in late March and will be present thru June.

Fortunately, it's been beautiful again the last couple of days.

Thats how minnesota is but without the ocean. Try 9 months of 0 degree weather and 70% of those days are cloudy and dry.

Well, it's not often that we have a thunderstorm in SD, but here in Encinitas I just saw lightning and it's raining.

The forecast from weather.com: Partly Cloudy & 63.

Default Best Part of San Diego

What I love the most about San Diego is the Airport, the Airport Flyer to the American Transfer Station and the Trolley to Tijuana. I have been coming to San diego from Las Vegas for 10 years now. I have never slept or eaten anything in San Diego, I hightail it to the border ASAP and enjoy the luxury of my $23 a night room In Tijuana and the exciting nightlife. The sterility of San Diego I find nauseating. And, I'm a smoker! Another reason to head furthur south to the border where I'm a welcomed guest.

Tijlover, I'm glad you feel at home in Tijuana. Somehow the two of you seem like a perfect match.
