Have you been by the Park Grove lately? Not sure if you know but a guy got shot there a few months back. SDPD Narcotics did a multi-week sting on the place. They fired the project managers... kicked out all the gangsters and put up new fencing around the building, cameras, etc... I talked to the narcotics officer who led the project... basically the owner was clueless. So hopefully things will improve over there. A lot of SESD trash had been migrating into that place... never saw them 5 years ago.

Yeah it looks alot better then it used to, that place could of been some nice apartments, but whoever ran the place didn't care at all. I was staying there back in 92-93, believe me, it was still a dump back then, the apartments and the lil shopping center included. My mom dont even like to talk about it, we called it the roach motel because the whole complex was INFESTED no matter how clean your apartment was, they should of shut that place down.

Despite the bad apartments, the neighborhood in general feels wholesome and nice to me and I am an older woman who comes and goes by myself a lot. I have never felt unsafe, but as I said, I never even went by the 7/11 until my rescue dog ran away and I was everywhere searching for him. The whole neighborhood worked with me to get him back. Great people!

It sounds like it should be alright. I am in the residential area of it, in one of the single family homes. Sounds like I was just getting myself overly nervous and that the place has a worse reputation that is really the case. I lived in a rough part of Boston this past year out in Dorchester and walked home at 11 without anything happening. I am getting myself overly worked up it seems.
