Come August and September, it'll be pretty toasty. Maybe not Florida humid, but mid 80s for sure. You may need to fire up the A/C!
Congrats on your move and I hope you continue to be happy here.
hehe I realized after I posted the bit about not needing A/C that I may spoke to soon... we'll see after the summer!

Thanks for sharing your observations. Glad to hear San Diego is mostly living up to your expectations so far.

Just don't tease us when we start talking about the humidity later this summer.

My experience with San Diego is that people are very pleasant overall. I'm often taken aback with how nice people are when I'm there.
More fake?My only experience in the US South was in Tampa for a week. The people there where too nice.It sort of scared me.I think the people in SD,California and parts of the DSW are a little more fake.Plus we are the land of fake tans, hair, lakes, boobs, and lifestyles.I would have to beg to differ on this one.Sorry buddy.

I *will* say that I was in Point Loma today and a little surprised that it seemed a bit humid. However, it wasn't the sticky heat of course - just sort of a misty feeling.

It was because you were closer to the water. I worked at Pt. Loma High numerous times in the winter, and would hit patches of dense fog when I entered the Pt. Loma area. The fog wasn't in the city when I left for work.

There are fake people every where . Nothing like good ole Southern Hospitality! There are a lot of genuinely friendly folks in the south.

I will say that, for Florida, Tampa is a nice city. It would probably be where I'd consider living if I would of had to stay in Florida. It's a mix of retirees and transplants from the Midwest mostly. MUCH different mix of people than Orlando, which is funny being that it's only about a 1.5 hour drive away.

Honestly here in San Diego I haven't seen that much of the fake boob/tan/etc. Now in West LA and parts of Orange County, that's another story...
