Hey everyone, I'm new to this forum. I just graduated from college and landed a job in San Diego. I only know 2 people down there that are currently going to UCSD. I would like to live in that area since I know no one else there. So I have a few questions and am in need of some advice about the area.

I need some advice or suggestions on apartments near that area. I've been looking at places(online) like Archstone and the Venetian. Are those 2 complexes safe and fairly quietly? Is there any other apartments that I should look into?

My job is located in Point Loma. I want to know how the commute is during the mornings from La Jolla to Point Loma. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. THANKS!

There are apartments all realitively close by to UCSD. UTC and La Jolla have a lot. But look a little down south say Mission Valley, Pacific Beach, Loma Portal (edge of Pt. Loma), Ocean Beach. You will be able to meet lots of people living in these areas.
