For several years I have been taking mini trips to visit friends and family in San Diego. Most live in the University Heights, North Park, and Hillcrest areas. A recent juant sent us up to Carlsbad, and I really liked it. While the Bohemian lifestyle works great if you're young, single, and an aspiring whatever, I felt drawn to the more suburban areas. I have 3 sons, and we are suffocating in St. Louis. Literally. I am an opressed liberal and I need to breathe. Problem is in convincing hubby to relocate our successful demo, asphalt, and excavation business out there. I tell him that his biz is highly desirable anywhere, but he is quite cautious. Anyone know of any tax incentives, how the construction biz is faring, weird rules or regs for CA?

And, YES, I am completely aware of the high cost of EVERYTHING out there, but figure that's the price you have to pay to NOT be oppressed......

So you're an "oppressed liberal" and you want to move to SD? And California practically invented the concept of weird rules and regulations for business and citizens alike, thanks to the far left government in Sacramento.
