Balboa Naval Hospital is actually in Balboa Park, and you can't live there. I saw your post on the military life forum, and you said that you have two dogs. What kind, how big, and how much do they weigh. You will probably need to look for a place in Golden Hill, North Park, Normal Heights, South Park or University Heights. With the exception of Golden Hill, you can just shoot right down Pershing Drive, and you'll at the hospital in less than 10 minutes.

Also, what's your rental budget. Do you want a house, apartment, cottage or duplex? Do you want a yard for your dogs? How many bedrooms do you want? Those are factors in looking for a place.

We have a "granny flat" for rent in South Park - about 5inutes to the hospital. Will take a pet or two - fenced in yard. Call Ellen at 619-952-4167 if you want particulars...

I may be in a similar situation, I may have a potential job offer in San Diego near the Naval Hospital. (still working out the particulars) I have a healthy reasonably active (potty trained) gentle 75 lb mixed breed 13 yr old dog that is coming with me. Safe area foremost, price needs to be a factor also.

Eeichler, is your granny flat taken (i'm assuming so since your post was in october but had to ask!!)
