I like O.Ranch a little more. It's bigger, slightly cheaper, closer to older parts of the city and has more community options.Neither one of them are good walking developments.Matter of fact none of the Developments in Chula Vista's Eastside are great for walking.

Just 3/4 of a mile from Eastlake Shores, Phase I Eastlake: Target, Henry's, Kohl's, Trader Joe's, Border's Books, Petco, Lowe's, Vons, Rite Aid, Office Depot, Brigantine Seafood, I-Hop, Starbuck's, Miguel's, numerous other restaurants, salons, barber shops, etc. If there are not enough "walkable stores" from there, I don't know where else in town there would be!LOL

Most of the above are within easy walking distance of Phase II, Eastlake Greens, too. Rolling Hills Ranch is another story, unfortunately, not easily retail-walkable---yet. It's what Phase I was 15 years ago--a couple of miles to the nearest gas station. They do have an Albertson's now, though.
