As someone moving to San Diego in the near future, where is the four corners of death?

Euclid and Imperial. Don't worry, you'll probably never have a reason to go there. That name comes from the 80's... it's nowhere near as bad anymore.

What about 30th and Market? I seem to recall from the news there's a liquor store there that might be the new Four Corners of Death. Am I mistaken?

30th and Market is a gas station, a pizza hut, tire shop, and a halfway house (they always have car washes on the weekend). It's either Grant Hill, Sherman or Logan depending on which side of the block you are on. No liquor store I know of. Closest would be 30th and B'way I believe or Sawaya bros which is all the way down at 30th and Ocean View.

Not a great area but not nearly as bad as Euclid and Imperial. That area (Chollas View) has cleaned up a lot, they put that big community complex and mall down there.

Well, if not 30th and Market, it's somewhere between 30th and 32nd, and between Market, and C Street. But there's a liquor store down there somewhere that's just plain dangerous to be at. Of course why someone is spending his evenings hanging out in the parking lot of a liquor store would explain a lot.

Could anyone please tell us about Cabrillo Appartments on Harmarsh in KearneyMesa? Apparantly it is very close to a number of large hospitals, and since my wife is an RN and we plan on moving to San Diego.... Love to get feedback on this. Thanks!

Fam-Mart is at Euclid and Federal, unless there is more than one. This is walking distance from Bayview Heights, which is giving Meadowbrook a run for its money for shootings this year.

I believe the liquor store you are talking about is at 32nd and Market, across the street from KFC/A&W. There was a shooting about three blocks south of there on 32nd last week.

My top 5 semi-educated places to get shot or stabbed.

1. Meadowbrook
2. Bayview Heights (including Euclid and Federal)
3. Shamrock Shack on Friday/Saturday nights (71st and ECB)
4. Teralta East (Hispanic gang war escalating)
5. PB on Garnet and MB by the roller coaster (believe it or not, check the stats)

I'm sure there are worse places within S/E SD along Market Street. I threw in the "Brook" and listed a couple that some may not realize have been recent problem areas.

We had a meeting with the Mid-City police chief after the recent shooting there - apparently SDPD and the owner have reached some sort of agreement regarding 'hip-hop night' which seemed to be the cause of a lot of the problems. Haven't heard much from there since.
