Is next week a good one for whale watching or should I wait till Feb or March?

I think there is a window when you miss them after they are too far south before they head up north again.

I was just researching this for a family trip and while it appears you never really know what you'll see, mid-january seems to be the peak season for the southbound whale migration. So yeah, next week appears to be about as good as it gets until they come back in March with the babies.
