What's that like with seemingly frequently regular 3.0-4.0's and the occaisional hit of >5? Unnerving or just part of unnoticed background life or both? Do you have a lot of cracks?

Well, not as many, several busted bridges and canal banks from liquefaction, it's the most amazing sight, the power of nature, and unnerving. 2 houses collapsed here and a lot of structural damage, especially for the border town Calexico, schools remained closed this week, some offsetting of a few roads but nothing too noticable. Mexicali is thrashed.

I didn't feel a damn thing all weekend out in Winterhaven (East just past Glamis). I gotta say, I was disappointed... Although we basically spent all of our time outside and only went into the trailer to sleep, so there may have been a few small ones that we just didn't notice.

7.1 Quake Hits Rural China

--At least 400 are dead and 10,000 have been injured after a 7.1 magnitude earthquake struck south of Qinghai in the far western Tibetan area of China on Wednesday.--

I think the floor on Planet Earth is in need of a carpenter. Seems to be weakening with all the weight on it.

I know this thread is old, but I am really curious as to the magnitude of this one when it hit San Diego county because it did not feel like a 4 or 5 like people here said, it felt like may a 6.1 or 6.2.
