Overcast and in the 70s.

And an occasional sunny day, or part of one.

San Diego is actually quite pleasant when it's cloudy. The degree of cloudiness varies from year to year.

I really haven't sensed it. Though I get the feeling the La Jolla peninsula (and north coastal) is the epicenter

Depends on the year, some years it's bad imo and some years it's barely happens. It will be overcast a lot and if it clears it's usually later then the marine layer rolls back in before sunset. Luckily it's not really that cold, usually near 70 and no wind. It's annoying if you like the sun a lot, some people don't mind it and actually like it since it tends to be sunny here a lot. To me it's more of an annoyance than depressing, the clouds aren't that dark and it's not raining. It sucks though imo and I feel sorry for the tourists that don't know about it and come and visit.

It's not that big of a deal...I've lived her my whole life and it would be no worse than a cloudy day out of state...It's not an everyday occurance either...

It is. La Jolla/Torrey Pines area can get quite foggy at times. How much it bothers someone also depends on what they're used to. 80% of the country won't mind it at all. I've heard people from Florida gripe about it and MTV did their spring break here two years in a row (I want to say it was '93-'94) and they griped about the weather here which is why they didn't come back ever.

Like others have said though, I really wouldn't worry about it much. It's not like SD is known for cloudy weather and it certainly isn't cold.

Personally I can't stand it and it's one of the reasons I moved out of PB. It gives me allergy like symptoms. We have had 2 years in the last 30 that the beach didn't see sun for a couple of months and it had many drizzly days. You have to go inland to see the sun. The worst part of it is the fog on the water it can be downright terrifying even if you have radar.

I actually like the cloudy weather in may and june. I do not live in san diego but I havent visted many times and may/june is my favorite time to visit. It's perfect weather for being outside, walking around town, shopping, going to the park, going for a run. I like it because it isn't too hot.
