its been 3 weeks and i still dont really have people to hang out with.. any tips? this is starting to suck.. almost seems like its impossible to make good friends here unless u grew up/went to school here

Anywhere can seem lonely when you first move there. It takes time to meet people. Work and school are usually the easiest ways due to the day to day ongoing contact, even if it's just evening classes for fun. Or try
Do something, Learn something, Share something, Change something - Meetup.com to see if anyone has common interest groups that you can join into.
It also really helps if you make the first move. Waiting for people to approach you can be a very long wait. Many are either busy, distracted or shy, but might welcome someone new.

im already in tons of meetup.com groups.. been to a few meetups.. didnt help much.. you talk to people, etc.. end of day everyone goes home.. almost like they r not looking to make new friends..
