My camera and I will keep busy this weekend with all the cool things going on around town. Just wanted to spread the word about some events that I'll be checking out that you should, too!

To my fellow urbanites, this weekend (it actually started last night) is the launch of the cool shuttle service that connects South Park, North Park, University Heights, and Normal Heights. It's only $5, and will run from 6pm to 2am! I'll be there!

On Saturday is Chicano Park Day and they will be celebrating it's 40th anniversary. It's a fun time and a great way to get up close to some sweet lowrider bikes and cars. Music, food and murals all make for a good time

Artwalk is also going on both Saturday and Sunday in Little Italy. If you've never been, it's time to check it out.

Nice, didn't realize the LI Artwalk was this weekend. I had a good time at the one last year.

I'm excited for the Park to Park Shuttle and might try it out tonight. I saw it yesterday when I was having dinner in Normal Heights.

On Saturday, Point Loma is having their annual Garden Walk: Point Loma Garden Walk - 9th Annual Event April 24, 2010

This year the gardens will be of residences in the 'wooded area' where Catalina Blvd goes out to Cabrillo Park.

Will all of the recent rains, I be those gardens will be really nice. I've only ever done the Mission Hills Garden Tour, and theirs is coming up in a couple weeks.

The Adams Avenue Roots Festival is this weekend. I'm going to ride my bike there for a couple of hours before I have to go to work.

Encinitas had their garden walk last weekend. All the gardens were in Leucadia. Those people are serious gardeners. Their Pride of Madeira shrubs are beautiful.

Hmmm...I'm still not sold on that place yet. I think it's a little overpriced. I guess it's because I'm used to their more casual location in University Heights.

Yeah my date was annoyed with her $10 Veggie burrito, haha. A bit steep for what it was. I doubt I would go back, better places imo. Didn't know that had another location in UH, might check that out then.
