Sure in a state that is broke, principles rate higher than the almighty buck. In some cases I might agree, but Ca needs every dime they can get..Chasing Arizonians away isn't going to help..

Duh! It's the other way around. Californians are planning to boycott Arizona [a state the fraction the size & revenue of California].

well if the SD City Council is the "tree" then the "fruits" is bears the most are pension scandals, corruption, crappy infrastructure, and budget deficits. Not an honorable bunch imo. I'd rather them stick to fixing the city than worrying about AZ.

The San Diego City Council did pass a resolution condemning the Arizona law today.

I think the character or actions of the SD city council is not the problem for you. Your support for the AZ immigration bill is what you are interested in. If God and a council of angels condemned the AZ law you would have nasty things to say about them.

I find it not really so funny, but so typical that those who will cry "God Save the Constitution" only when it serves their ends. The AZ law is in clear violation of the Constitution, and yet, there are sunshine patriots who conveniently ignore that.

Maybe an economic boycott of AZ isn't such a bad idea. Libs would certainly like the idea, and it would also fit right in with Conservatives' approach of solving problems thru the "Free Market"!

It certainly isn't anything to be proud of. The entire state of Arizona being dissed by California's 3 largest cities. It is not political since the churches are just as loud in their condemnation. This is a stern reprimand of Arizona by the hugely important state that it borders. Like a parent, California is scolding Arizona.

You're kidding, right? And what gives California the moral authority to reprimand anyone?

Oh in general YES it is. I'm reminded of how much I hate their incompetence every time I hit a pothole, which is quite often.

Nope, never did I once say that in this thread and in another thread I expressed my reservations for it since I am latino. I am not 100% against it but don't really support it either. It isn't a law that really stops illegal immigration either. I just think these boycotts by SF and LA and now SD's resolution are pointless and could easily backfire. It's so arrogant to think CA can control what other states do like this. the ego's of some of our politicians is disgusting.

No offense, but you read way too much into my simple comment about the SD City Council and made a bunch of incorrect assumptions about what you think I believe.
