even at 2k/mo it would be a steal. Craigslist is scam central, be careful.

Thanks for all the comments! I am leary of renting anything sight unseen. I suppose my husband's new home will be at the extended stay until he is able to look around. I just hate to spend over $500 a week on an extended stay if that can go towards rent. He is going to most likely just try and find a 1 bedroom until we get there and then look for something bigger. So confusing!! We are really just looking for a sublet/something temporary for the first month or so. Our realtor told us our house would be easy to rent out, but who knows if he is just blowing smoke up our a$$.

So, is that area not such a great one? I thought I read on the forum that it was a nice place to live with good school districts? This is so difficult to do from 22,000 miles away without any idea of what to expect! To me, all of the city names sounds similar....rancho this, rancho that...lol. I do not mean that in a deragatory way, I am just saying for someone that is not familiar with the area, it is all very confusing! I should not complain though, this is a great opportunity for my husband and we might as well do it while we are young. This forum has been very helpful for me and I
appreciate all of the information you guys post!!

I have searched through the discussion topics, and know that everyone has different ideas on where is best to live. What is your favorite suburb and how far is it from downtown SD? Is a family of three with a toddler better off living in the suburbs or in more of an urban area?

That is definatley a SCAM... if there is no address or phone number, don't trust it. and be careful when renting a house (or anyplace sight unseen), because you may be renting a house going into foreclosure which basically you will be screwed in the end when the city/bank comes to lock the property up.
