Hey guys, I was just wanting to get a gauge on the weather in La Jolla. I'll be heading out there in about a week and a half and I wanted to know if it's been pretty overcast already? I checked weather.com and it looks like it's been pretty sunny but I remember from past experiences that during May and June weather.com will say its supposed to be sunny but the sun won't pop out until 4 or 5 in the afternoon. Also, it looks like its been in the 60's, I know for some of you that may seem cool but how does it feel with the sun out? Is it still warm enough for shorts/t-shirt? Thanks for any info.

Yeah, but it's supposed to clear up and be sunny and warm this weekend.

Yeah, but bring a sweater or a light jacket. You'll be fine.

It's kicked in alright but right now is enhanced by a winter like system in the pacific. If you're going to be in La Jolla, always bring a light jacket or something as most people can find it a bit chilly there at times.

I LOVE IT TOO!! It's my favorite part of the year.

However, this feeling isn't universally shared, so be prepared for the possibility of a generalized societal breakdown. Look for mass-rioting, burning and pillaging as the mobs try to propitiate the weather gods and burn away the gloom.

Yes it's here. And I stand corrected from another post in which I said that the phenomenon is an exaggeration.

Indeed in full force, most noticeable this year than in the few years I've been here. Nothing to really complain about at all as this is SD, man.
