Hi Guys:

My daughter booked her wedding at North Island Naval Air Station on Coronado's Breakers Beach. Since I'm not military I can't get to see it. (her fiance's grandfather is military). Anybody have pics or links? Anybody been to a weeding there? We are also still looking for a florist, photgrapher, DJ and someone non-denominational to perform the ceremony. Any help would be appreciated. She already said "yes to the dress" so that's under control
Thanks!

I recently was at Breakers for a birthday party - we had a big tent set up and we were playing bocci ball and baggo. We were eating and drinking and having a great time and there were two weddings taking place. So, just be aware that it's not private and that people will crowd around and watch what's going on.

One wedding was out in the sand - It was windy and their wedding arch kept falling down. The other was on the deck that is out there and looked pretty casual.

My suggestion for flowers is to see if you are able to get them from the Exchange on base. I'm not positive that there is a florist on North Island, but I had all my flowers done by the base florist in Florida and they turned out great. Another option - if you aren't having flowers in the centerpieces - is to check out the Farmer's Market, you could pick up cheap flowers from them and put together the bouquets yourself.

Good Luck!

Thanks for the advice. The farmers Market is a really good idea for the bouquets. We are doing glass fish bowls with sand, shells, water and star shaped candles from Pottery Barn for centerpieces - so no flowers on the tables.
