I'm a recent CS grad looking to relocate, been applying for jobs online with no luck. Anyone have some connections or advice to share?

Provide more info and the board can probably give you better answers. I assume you want to relocate to the Bay Area? Where are you now and where is your school? I would try your school's career center first. Any networking opportunities tied to your school would be your best bet.

Unless you are extremely well qualified or applying for a specialized/hard to fill position, employers often don't consider out of town hires (it's not worth the time and effort if applicants with similar qualifications exist locally). A better option might be to get a job locally and then transfer. Once you are employed with the company, you may be able to relocate to another office much more easily.

The employment picture is still pretty bad so you might want to consider this option. There's just a greater supply of recent graduates than demand right now.

So true and great advice.

A lot of the jobs for young people nowadays are in the Washington DC area. I'd strongly suggest you start looking for something there, possibly with the Federal government. California's a dry hole you don't want to stay in for long.
