Id say 30 minutes each way. Sometimes longer.

30 mins tolerable - given I am somewhat used to LA scene! No seriously though, just want to get an idea how busy it can get on that route. I guess it would be 680 S?

You mean commuting between Walnut Creek and San Ramon, right? It would be 680, slow commute sometimes but not a horrible one. The worst traffic is south of the 580 interchange.

Yes, if you are used to LA traffic, then this should be fine.

- 580 interchange is past San Ramon so I shouldnt be worried right?
- Not used to LA per se, I mean its not that I am looking for better than LA commute, I am looking for a decent commute. If it's slow sometimes that's fine just dont want to be stuck 45 mins or so daily one way that's what I mean. 25 mins is what I thought and every now and then if it goes to 35 so be it.

Thanks.

Yup, 25 minutes in traffic is about par for the course, 15 with no traffic, 45 with heavy traffic. I used to travel that leg as part of my commute.

Oh, okay.

Yes, San Ramon is north of 580 so you won't have to deal with that mess.

Also, to be honest, I would give myself a 45-minute window for each commmute period because that commute has been known to be stacked up due to tie ups. That way, if you plan 45 mins into your schedule, you wont be late-but usually 25-30 mins should be the norm.

Well, hope that helps.

Perfect friends - thank you. That's what I wanted to know. if the norm is around is 25 mins thats good.
Cheers, I will post an update (don't expect to start the commute until little later this year).
