I am trying to organise a stag do for a friend in San Francisco the evening of Thursday 12 August. We will be staying around Union Square, and people have suggested that we head to North Beach.

The groom can probably cope with strippers after a few drinks, and does not like sport. He is a bit camp. A few of the stag's men will be coming in from Europe that day so we don't want too much travel in the evening.

Can anyone suggest activities we could do beyond a pub crawl? We will be about 4 - 8 people. The only instruction from the groom is that he does not want to feel too ill the following day. The wedding is on the saturday

I don't know, what do people usually do when they are together at night? Lazer tag? Might be nice to just go to a fancy restaurant, eat some nice food and have a good time with all your friends.

Also it's called a bachelor party in the US, nobody here will know what you are talking about if you call it a "stag do." Heck I don't know what you mean by "he does not like sport. He is a bit camp."

At bachelor's parties in the US I imagine people mainly get drunk, go see strippers, and that is about it. They might hire a stripper and have one come to the hotel room but that is kind of cliche.

Seems like doing something fun during the day like mountain biking or hiking followed by camping with booze would be fun.

North Beach is definitely the party central part of SF, lots of bars and clubs and strip clubs, also lots of touristy Italian restaurants.
