Over the years, all sorts of white supremacist rumors have floated around about WC and the surrounding areas, but I'm pretty sure it's just ignorant hippies making up sh**. So to some people, that may infer crazy things like KKK headquarters, but that seems totally bogus to me.

I've never heard of WC having a Klan presence, not even in the past although that does not rule out that it did at one time.

According to people I know in WC there is a big meth problem there. But it's hard to find anywhere in California where there ISN'T a big meth problem.

As for the Klan, I said I never heard of Klan presence in WC now or at any time. There is not one now. There may or may not have been one at some time in the past. Contra Costa County had plenty of Klan activity in the early and mid 20th century but has not for decades. The Klan in coastal Northern California is almost completely extinct except for a few idiots in Sonoma County. I hope it becomes completely extinct.
